For the last two and a half years, Marlene Necheles and Geoff Shell have been quietly working on a musical about the life and fame of Marlene's mother, Clara Peller.

Now that the first drafts of the book and music are done, Marlene and Geoff have created a Kickstarter campaign to fund an elaborate collaboration process which will lead to a showcase of the work in Chicago. The two creators are excited to begin workshopping their vision with other talented writers, designers and actors!

There will be a new video in the web series released every week during the 60-day fundraising effort, and this is equally an open casting call to creatives and actors interested in applying/auditioning for the cast and crew.

Be a patron of the arts! If you're an avid theater goer, a fan of 1980's pop culture or someone who simply knows a good idea when you see it, Marlene & Geoff need your support!
